What we're looking for

Livepeer is seeking a dynamic, experienced Ecosystem Operations Lead who embodies our ethos of innovation and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels in both the design and execution of operations. The Ecosystem Ops Lead will report into Livepeer’s Head of Finance & Operations and work closely with Livepeer’s Founder & CEO, Head of Growth, and Marketing Lead. We’re looking for a candidate who can immediately add value in our existing operational processes, but also has a strong desire to grow into a more senior position within the organization with a larger scope of responsibility. Your work will be critical in shaping the future of our ecosystem operations, particularly in shepherding our on-chain treasury and community programs that drive value for the ecosystem. 

What you'll do

• Project Management and Accountability: Assume full responsibility for managing and tracking key milestones, particularly for high-stakes projects like new bets, which require coordination across different departments. You'll be expected to work cross functionally to maintain a detailed schedule, proactively follow up on each item's status, identify and communicate any risks or blockers, and ensure all elements align seamlessly for successful execution.
• Livepeer Grants & On-Chain Treasury Operationalization: Spearhead the operationalization of Livepeer's Grant Program and community-governed on-chain treasury. You'll be pivotal in establishing processes for accessing and deploying funds, ensuring they effectively support public goods and Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) within our ecosystem.
• Treasury Proposal Facilitation: Actively engage with the Livepeer community to build support for credible treasury proposals. This involves initiating and guiding discussions on the Livepeer Forum, particularly in the treasury category, coordinating Community Calls and Treasury Chats, and raising awareness about proposals within the community by leveraging platforms like Discord, social media, and potential new tools like a treasury newsletter.
• Community Contributor Engagement: Design and execute initiatives to engage community members, empowering them to contribute significantly to key ecosystem programs.
• Program Development: Craft and run mid-funnel ecosystem programs like community & treasury calls, managing our grants program, overseeing Discord server operations, and potential new programs.
• Strategic Design & Execution: Implement robust ecosystem funnel operations, including advanced CRM management, KPI measurement, and reporting systems.
• Operational Frameworks: Establish and maintain frameworks that ensure smooth, efficient execution of programs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse internal teams, enhancing the impact of ecosystem operations and programs.
• Data-Driven Insights: Analyze operational data to derive insights, fostering continuous improvement and decision-making speed.
• Community Building: Nurture a vibrant, engaging community atmosphere through effective operations and program management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key operational contact for both internal stakeholders and external partners.

What you'll bring

• Accountability and Strategic Aptitude: Proven track record in operations management, preferably in tech or startups, with a strong strategic vision.
• Project Management Prowess: Exceptional skills in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, with a strategic and visual communication style.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent critical thinking.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at working with diverse stakeholders. Full professional proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
• Adaptability and Agility: Thrive in the fast-paced environment of a startup, with a passion for continuous iteration and improvement.
• Startup and Web3 Experience: At least 5 years prior work experience in startup operations, strategy consulting, or founding, with a preference for familiarity with web3 ecosystems.
• Software proficiency: comfortable working in G-Suite, Airtable, Notion, and Miro.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency with Airtable and experience in decentralized project management.
• Deep interest in blockchain technology and the video streaming industry.
