Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms apply when you use livepeer.org (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are

The site is operated by the Livepeer Foundation, incorporated in the Cayman Islands ("we", "us").

What the site is

The site provides information about the Livepeer network: what it does, how to use it, how to provide GPU compute to it, how it is governed and funded, and what is being built on it.

The site itself doesn't sell inference, run GPUs, process payments or hold funds. Services you reach from the site, including Livepeer Agent, the Livepeer Explorer, the Livepeer forum, Discord, the documentation and the projects listed in the ecosystem, are operated separately and have their own terms. Those terms, not these, govern your use of them.

The Livepeer network and AI-generated content

The Livepeer network connects people who request AI video and image work with independent GPU providers who perform it. We don't operate those providers, and we don't create, host or distribute the content they produce. We aren't a party to any arrangement between you and a provider or a service built on the network.

Not financial advice

Information on the site about the Livepeer token (LPT), staking, delegation, rewards or the community treasury is general information. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and it is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Digital assets carry significant risk, including the loss of everything you put in. Do your own research and take independent advice.

Content from the community

Parts of the site are written by people across the Livepeer community: roadmap commitments and the updates their owners post, blog posts by contributors, and ecosystem listings submitted by the projects themselves. We publish them to keep the network's work in the open, but we don't verify every statement in them, and their authors are responsible for what they say.

Using the site

Please don't use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms others, or disrupts or overloads the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it or the systems behind it.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content of the site belongs to us or to the people who wrote it. The Livepeer name and logo are trademarks. You can use them as described on the site's brand page (livepeer.org/brand).

Links to other sites

The site links to sites and services we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the site or its content, including that it is accurate, complete, current or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, data or digital assets, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything on it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands, and the courts of the Cayman Islands have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
