Monthly Wrap-up: January 2026

Each month, this roundup collects the news from across Livepeer: the protocol, the teams funded by the community treasury, and the people building on the network.
In January, LIP-101 passed, so a share of staking rewards goes to the treasury again, and Livepeer started work with XMTP and Ar.io. Five funded teams also closed out their work with retrospectives.
Ecosystem
- Livepeer starts work with XMTP and Ar.io. XMTP to bring Livepeer into messaging, and Ar.io (Arweave) to connect it with permanent storage.

- Cloud SPE takes on network observability. With its treasury proposal passed, its analytics pipeline already runs end to end to a first Grafana dashboard.
- Two roadmap items move from Now to Next. Upgrading transcoding and improving the gateway wait for team capacity, after the market-mapping report.
- Explorer shows how orchestrators vote. Explorer maintenance shipped its voting transparency feature, alongside fixes across milestones 3 and 4.
